Autograph title in the hand of William Henry Ireland, who compiled the material and added a title page, dated February 28, 1824. The rest of the manuscript is in Samuel Ireland's hand and consists of prefatory remarks and transcriptions of William Henry Ireland's forgeries. The prefatory remarks (the first 29 leaves) correspond in part to those in Miscellaneous papers and may be a lengthier draft for them. Watermark 1794.
